Carry On is operated by Chase Allbright in South Carolina. By using it, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 to use Carry On. If you are below the age of majority where you live, you need permission from your parent or legal guardian. Keep your account information accurate, protect your sign-in credentials, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account.

The service

Carry On is a planning and organization tool for trips. It is not a travel agent, booking service, or provider of transportation, lodging, or activities.

You need an account to create a trip. Depending on the owner’s sharing setting, another person may be able to view or edit a shared trip without signing in. Some older trips have no owner; the first signed-in person who opens one of those legacy trip links may claim the trip.

Trip ownership and sharing

Trips are private by default. The trip owner can choose a sharing setting and is responsible for that setting and for the people who receive a shared link. A link-view link lets its holder view a trip, while a link-edit link lets its holder view and edit it. Recipients can forward a link to other people. Changing the sharing setting may limit future access, but we do not guarantee that access changes instantly or that a recipient has not already saved information from the trip.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add to Carry On. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, maintain, and improve Carry On and to make the content available according to the trip’s selected sharing setting. You are responsible for having the rights needed to add and share your content.

Communications

Clerk may currently send authentication or verification email, including sign-in codes. Carry On does not currently run a separate service or marketing email program. If we introduce one, we may send necessary account, security, or service notices and optional product or marketing messages. Optional marketing messages include unsubscribe controls. Acceptable use

• Do not use Carry On for anything unlawful.
• Do not upload content that infringes another person’s rights or is abusive, threatening, or harassing.
• Do not impersonate another person, commit fraud, distribute malware, or use Carry On to violate another person’s privacy.
• Do not attack the service through automated scraping or slug guessing, attempts to overload or break it, or probing for other people’s trips.
• Do not bypass access controls, interfere with other users, or use the service in a way that could harm Carry On or its users.

We do not claim to actively monitor all content or use. We may act when we become aware of conduct that violates these terms.

Collaborative editing and data reliability

Carry On attempts to detect stale saves and, when it does, reloads the latest stored version. It does not merge every concurrent change. Carry On is not real-time collaboration software or a backup service, so keep your own copies of important information and booking confirmations.

Travel and third-party services

You are responsible for your bookings, confirmations, passports, visas, insurance, safety, compliance with laws, and travel decisions. Carry On does not verify user-entered itinerary information, give travel advice, or guarantee any travel outcome. Any third-party service, travel provider, or link you use is governed by that party’s own terms and policies.

Service changes and enforcement

We may change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue Carry On, and may remove content or accounts, including when we reasonably believe these terms have been violated or when necessary to protect the service or its users.

No warranty

Carry On is provided “as is” and as available, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available service, and there is no uptime guarantee.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carry On and Chase Allbright are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, bookings, or opportunities arising from your use of Carry On. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated terms here and revise the date above. Continuing to use Carry On after an update means you accept the updated terms to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not override mandatory rights or protections that apply where you live.
